This morning I woke to a lizard above my head (on the pillow), it was watching me as I rolled over and gazed into its eyes. It crawled up my arm and into my hair. “Damn good address for a rat...” the milk passed through the homogenizer. As a boy I memorized these mornings well, the hum as my vision polestarred.
